How it all Started

Have you ever poured your heart into a business idea only to watch it fizzle out?

That's exactly what happened to me, Samantha, the founder of FYR. Like many of you, I was passionate about the "why" behind my business, but the "how" remained a frustrating mystery. Mistakes piled up, and I had to make the tough call to close shop.

Disillusioned, I dove headfirst into the corporate world.I started from the bottom rung as an assistant and clawed my way to VP of Strategic Operations by 35, even grabbing an MBA and PMP along the way. But despite the fancy title, something felt hollow. Chasing status and money didn't align with my values.

Then, a chance encounter with a friend reignited my spark. Helping her navigate her business struggles felt right and purposeful. It reconnected me with my passion – empowering others to succeed.

Meanwhile, my husband Eric and I felt a similar restlessness. A divine nudge? We felt a fire in our bones that we had to do something bigger than ourselves.

One conversation with my mom provided a powerful clue. She shared the story of King Solomon building an altar and praying for wisdom to guide his people.

Suddenly, it all clicked.

I envisioned myself offering my hard-earned knowledge, the scars of past failures, and the victories along the way – all as an offering to help others.

That's when Jeremiah 20:9 came to mind: "Your word is like a fire in my belly..."

It was a confirmation – FYR wasn't just a business, it was a mission.
