Have that conversation…
A friend started a business a few decades ago and still remain in business today. However, so many aspects of that business have changed. The technology, the products, customer request, and even the payment process is different than it was in the beginning. Some of the same customers frequent this business and expect the same service and experience. The new customers arrive with new demands and expectations. Keeping everyone happy is almost impossible.
Another friend started a business a few months ago and decided to launch a week early. The decision was based upon demand. Customers were so eager for the product it required opening early to meet the demand. Now that a few months have passed, this same new business owner is experiencing the ‘after the hype’ lull in business. It is a struggle to push and continue to be active with the customers offering the same hype and newness prior to opening.
What do these two business owners have in common? They are both experiencing a business problem that needs to be solved. Both need resources to help them solve the problem in a way that builds longevity and sustainable growth. Fyr provides one-on-one consultations by phone, by zoom, or we will just visit with you for coffee. These consultations can make all the difference in solving those hurdle type problems. We listen and plan with you to establish and implement a solution. You do not have to jump that hurdle alone. We can help boost you over and celebrate your success.
Having that conversation is the first step. Never be afraid or ashamed to say things like, I am scared, I am so frustrated, I just don’t see the solution, or I am beyond tired. These are all things we have heard before. Actually, comments like this allows your Fyr team member insight and the ability to meet you within your frustration to point you toward a way forward. Without an open and honest conversation, the solutions you receive may not fit and may cause more harm than good. The honesty of ‘where we are right now’ good or bad establishes a base line to build from. Changing the conversation to fluff is not the best way to start at all. If things stink and you need to start over, say so, and let’s get started on the solution.
Never be afraid to have that conversation. The truth brings freedom! That freedom can be the catalyst for growth. Who knows, you just might hear a fellow business owner make the same comment one day and you will have a positive experience to share with them as encouragement.
Have that conversation and watch what happens.
