Website vs. Facebook

I use Facebook, why do I need a website?

Oh my! You definitely need a website! There are three main reasons you need a website as well as a business Facebook page, Instagram, LinkedIn page, Twitter, and Pinterest. The website establishes credibility, consistency, and control. Let’s talk for just a minute about this for you as the business owner.

Just think about your client / customer and what the apps they utilize on their phone to find you. Sure, they are browsing all the digital media; however, when they locate a service or product, they want to purchase what do they do? They go to the website! Yep, they are looking for a virtual place (similar to a store front) that will provide all the details. They want to know more about the business and the staff, especially the location, and prices or deals. Each person searching wants a virtual place similar to an office or store front that provides all the information that will allow them to make a decision to engage with you and make a purchase or utilize your services. A website provides all of that.

Pew Research Center just published an article in February 2024 indicating that 7 out of every 10 people in the United States utilizes Facebook. However, the consistency of Facebook use has remained flat since 2016. In other words, your Facebook page will reach a majority of your target audience; however, you will need a website with links to other digital media to keep that audience engaged. It is important to continually engage with your target audience and keep that engagement fresh. Viewers are easily distracted by your competitors. A steady promotion plan for social media growth utilizes a website and all the apps appropriate as a means to develop a relationship of integrity with target audiences.

A customized website is vital to relay your core values, products or services, and pricing. All the customizations and information are then easily shared and linked to all the other social media apps that will promote your visibility online. It is easier than you think to get that website built and activated.  Fyr has a plan customized to walk with you through the design process and stay within your budget. It is not our goal to charge a tremendous amount of money for a website landing page and then leave you to make it all link together. We discuss the possibilities, budget, long term plan, and then develop the site. Once it is developed, we can link everything to your digital media apps or take over the marketing piece of your business for you completely.  Either way we are there with you to build this and get it working for you.

So website or Facebook page? We think you need BOTH!
